Q: Hey Piquant, pretty sure from yer photos that yer shipment fits into a typical postal box i.e. envelope size, but could u confirm? I don't wanna go up to the post-office to p/u every month :) Ta! BAsked by Beth M., March 2020
Hi Beth!
That's correct that our monthly subscription product is sent to yer regular mailbox (if you live in the USA). We ship 'em in 6x10 flat envelopes via USPS first class mail to help keep our prices as low as possible. For international orders, we have to purchase postage for small parcels due to regulations, and while they are mailed in the same flat envelopes that fit in post boxes, each country's postal service has their own regulations on where to deliver items shipped as small parcels.
Yes, it should fit. The spices come in little, zip-lock, flat containers, and the total package is pretty flat and not much bigger than the recipe cards that are included.
Q: I cancelled future shipments last month. I received as email stating you shipped again. I do not want to continue with shipments. #44272909621Asked by Diana S., May 2022
Hi Diana, no problem we're happy to assist. To clarify, canceling one of Cratejoy's subscriptions prevents renewal and canceling after it renews doesn't auto-cancel the prepaid shipments. Customers need to reach out after canceling to get a refund. We have to ship what you paid for as we can't guess that you want a refund (many customers cancel and don't want a refund). We will contact you directly to provide customer support.
Q: Are the monthly subscriptions affected by shipping problems? I'd hate to give a subscriotion as a Christmas gift and have it held up for 6 months or more. Asked by Carol D., October 2021
Hi Carol, We produce and package all of our own spice blends and we have pre-ordered enough inventory to ship products throughout the holidays. However, during peak Christmas season, we tend to sell out of the inventory we have. If this happens, we will post a notice that orders will ship in the next cycle. We mail our monthly subscriptions via USPS first class mail and delivery typically takes 1-2 weeks for customers from the date we mail. However, USPS has announced general mail delivery delays during the holidays and delivery could take slightly longer than 2 weeks but even in 2020 (peak Covid delays) we never saw delays of months. Thanks!
Q: Can I do a prepaid 3-month subscription? Asked by Rachel M., March 2021
Hi! We only offer 6 & 12 month prepaid subscriptions. However, you can
create a subscription of any length by purchasing a monthly
renewing subscription and letting it renew the desired number of times
before cancelling.
My first Piquant and I have not used them yet but they seem good! The only thing to make them better would to be able to choose a selection
This is by far my favourite spice subscription, I’ve tried a few different ones. The recipes are extremely easy to follow and delicious & I love that they have the spices for sale on their website in case you want to buy more for future recipes! They even have alternative recipes on their website in case you want to make something different with the spices you receive. So far I’ve made 2 out of the 4 recipes and I’m literally in LOVE! I’m basically a pro chef now thanks to Piquant Post!
Wow, so glad to hear you're enjoying our service!! Thanks for the great review, Sarah. 🤗

This is a wonderful, reasonably priced way to add a surprise to your month! I have tried all the recipes so far and they have all been winners. I like the fact that the products sent are currated to a specific region. It is amazing!
This is a great way to try new recipes without having to pick up a bunch of different ingredients. The recipe cards are really helpful too.
We have made 2 of the 4 recipes in past week. Have really enjoyed them and look forward to more international cuisine recipes! So fun!
I signed up for this box on a whim earlier this year and I loved it! I looked forward to seeing what new recipes I'd get every month. Not every recipe was for me (I wish there was a way to say no seafood recipes or like, only vegetarian recipes or something when you sign up) but they have alternative recipes for the spices you get on their website and I really liked that. If you're looking for a way to try new things with your cooking, Piquant Post gives you a good excuse at a really decent price.
We have received 3 shipments so far and this was the first chance we had to make one of the menu items. We went for the Bali Spiced Strip Steak and that seasoning was amazing! That was the most flavorful strip steak I have had in a long time. We are excited about the other items we have as well. We bough cod just so we could make another recipe this week. The price is so good for what you get and the recipes look so good.
Well packaged and great quality. I like the fact that each spice has enough for 2 of the corresponding recipe. You can either make the featured recipe twice or use the leftover spice to create your own masterpiece.
I gave this as a gift and the recipient is enjoying the 2 she's received so far.
