Hi there! So sorry for any confusion. We are a unique gift in that we send a weekly mailing versus a monthly box. For Cratejoy customers, we ship a PLUSH Sunny the Snail toy which comes in a box with the first letter. So, the subscription does start with a box but continues with weekly letters after the plush is received. Thanks so much for asking!

Yes, the box and stuffed animal will start the subscription if you sign up for a 3, 6 or 12 month term. And, we are always happy to add a second Sunny stuffed animal when we see two names on a subscription. :)

My six-year-old loves it. We combine it with a world globe and other geography activities, i.e., US and world map magnets. It would be neat if they could get responses to letters. Perhaps they could add that on for an extra charge. We have had trouble with not getting a letter every week, but they have helped us make it right.

Oh my goodness. Never before has there been a more perfect subscription box for a little kid desperate for mail. My son is the youngest of four (so already has a bit of an excluded complex), and we had to move with the army in the middle of this global pandemic - to a new state and a street with not one single other kid on it. Because Sunny sends weekly letters, kids really get engaged. Here are three of our past letters. Sunny has an adventure on a pirate ship and meet twin dophins, Salt and Pepper! The next week he delivers mail to an Owl and kids learn a few funny jokes - what a Hoot! They also find out how Sunny gets around to deliver his mail: with his BFF Bluebird of course! They get a special blue feather when they meet Bluebird.
