Jeopardy fans could not believe this contestant’s major blunder on Monday’s (April 24) episode that left them with just $1.

The category for the Final Jeopardy round was U.S. Geography. “Interstate 25 connects these 2 state capitals, 1st & 2nd in elevation, & in between runs through no. 3, Denver,” the puzzle read.

Contestant Année Tousseau was already behind her two opponents when she submitted her answer. “What is Albany, Boston?” she wrote, followed by a bet of $3,199. Her incorrect answer left her with just $1 in earnings, putting her in last place.

“No, I’m sorry, that’s not correct,” Jeopardy host Ken Jennings responded.

Her opponent Emma Hill Kepron correctly guessed one of the answers, which was Cheyenne, Wyoming, but missed the second half of the answer.

The puzzle was ultimately left up to Dillon Hupp, who was already in second place with $14,200. He correctly guessed Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, earning himself an additional $7,799.

Viewers at home slammed Tousseau’s answer for what some considered to be an “easy” geography puzzle.

“No idea why Albany and Boston was chosen unless Annee has no idea where Denver is,” one fan wrote.

“Albany-Boston? What was she thinking? Does she know where Denver is?” another inquired.

“Harsh, I know, but I sometimes wonder how some contestants make it on Jeopardy!” one viewer tweeted. Someone else agreed, writing, “Albany and Boston? How did these people get on Jeopardy?”

Jeopardy viewers are certainly a vocal bunch. In March, veterinary student Karen Morris faced their wrath after she made what fans called “the worst daily double bet of all time.”

The backlash was so strong Morris took to Twitter to defend herself and give a detailed breakdown on her thinking process during the episode.

Though Tousseau did not make it through, Hupp will be advancing to today’s episode after earning $21,999 on Monday’s show.

Jeopardy! airs on weeknights at 7/6c on ABC.
