If you’re a fan of John Wick-level violence, you won’t want to miss out on Sisu — the latest historical action film to hit theaters. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new flick!

Sisu follows war veteran (and extremely skilled fighter) Aatami Korpi — who lives alone in the remote wilderness of northern Finland near the end of WWII. When a group of Nazis seize his gold, they soon learn the meaning behind his nickname “Koschei,” which stands for “The Immortal,” as he goes to extreme lengths to get back what belongs to him.

So where can you stream Sisu? Is it on Netflix? What about HBO Max?

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming movie:

WHERE TO WATCH SISU:

As of now, the only way to watch Sisu is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, April 28. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube or Apple.

WHEN WILL SISU BE ON STREAMING?

While a digital release date for Sisu has not yet been announced, we can make an educated guess based on a previously released Lionsgate movie.

Plane, which premiered on Jan. 13, came to digital platforms on Feb. 3 — about three weeks after it was released in theaters. If Sisu follows the same trajectory, we could be watching it from the comfort of our living rooms by late May 2023.

WILL SISU BE ON HBO MAX?

No, Sisu will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between theatrical release and the streaming release.

WILL SISU BE ON NETFLIX?

While Sisu could potentially come to Netflix in the future, there has been no announcement about any plans for it to join the streaming giant following its theatrical run. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available on digital.
